New favorite hideaway bar. Great quality whiskey. Cozy seating indoors and on the outdoors patio. Shared space with Seven Grand where you can explore their bigger bar selection and play billiards. Can't go wrong with this lovely place. Great service for a busy night. This place also does whiskey tastings! The bartender recommended coming in on a less busier day (not that he denied us, we just didn't want it that night). No reservations needed if less than 6 people in a party. Bar Jackalope is a "hidden" speakeasy located in Seven Grand...a bar within a bar. If you have trouble finding the entrance, just ask anyone that works at Seven Grand and they'll point you in the right direction. Bar Jackalope offers a wide selection of whiskies for every price range, including an excellent selection of rare and premium whiskies if that's your thing, Also, although the Japanese whiskies seems to be the highlight here, they also do have non-Japanese whiskies as well. If you're sure what to get, just ask your server for recommendations. They have seating both inside and outside. You can make a reservation for no wait. Service is friendly and it's a cool little spot to grab a drink before or after dinner.

An amazing whiskey bar located inside of Seven Grand. It is not hard to find as it has a sign next to the door. You press the button and someone from inside will open the door. It is best to make a reservation as there's limited space inside and cannot accommodate big parties without prior requests. It is best to visit in a party of 2. They do have indoor and patio seating similar to how it is set up in Seven Grand. They have a wide variety of Japanese Whiskeys and ask for recommendation if you are up for trying out something new. The staff are amazing and you will be well served: they make great drinks, give good recommendations and super friendly. An amazingly chill place to be after a long day at work. You can get a bottle and have them store it for you for your next visits. It was also fun to read all the creative name tags on the bottles.

Make sure you have a reservation before going and the maximum at any table is 6 people. The drinks are delicious and carefully made. I love that they let you buy a bottle and store it there. Parking is not so great. The vibes are very cool inside.

What's the password... I couldn't say... he he... Welcome to the Bar Jackalope Speakeasy... The secret bar within a bar... Of a historic building within the 2nd floor. Located in a secret passage known as the hallway of Seven Grand where you can enjoy great music on their record player (when there is not an astounding live band), a beautiful speciality exclusive cocktail menu, private booths and tables, a separate patio, amazing mix master/whiskey experts/scotcholgist who put together flights, experiences and some of the best service you'll ever experience. Mood lit for an intimate experience with friends, colleagues, or even that special someone you might call your baby. I super planned a full series of events for my special someone, including this one of a kind must try at Bar Jackalope. Once we booked ahead online, I reached out to confirm and ended up updating our reservation. We arrived at 7PM on the dot. Pressed. Awaited. And I wondered into this whiskey den lounge that's still on my mind. We had the best seat in the speak... In my honest opinion. Enjoyed some out of this world high balls - the Laddie being the most refreshing. Cuddled up, and taking a beat here was the best. You can enjoy snacks, whisk(e)y, other beverages and cigars (if you partake) - while their signature menu has less than ten items to choose the QR code menu has a cave of wonders in options including flight options. I thought about getting us a bottle to hold in a locker for next time, but I know they'll be a lot of next times as we truly beyond loved Bar Jackalope and all the kind gents running the show here. Q Tips: You can also order drinks at the main bar and bring them inside and have your space for as long as needed within a max 2hr time. They can accommodate up to parties of six but do ask for a minimum if you wish to book a party larger than six and they will need some notice as it's a limited space that can only hold less than 40 people comfortably (including the Bar Jackalope crew)... This is only 14 to 18 people, roughly in their main area and 16 max in the patio/cigar area. Perfect date night, social hang, guest stop, or in our case, birthday celebration date. If you love Whisky or Whiskey then this is your spot to visit. Best bet is to get yourself flight sizes of the numerous bottles they have. Our bartender knew the selection well and everything felt so fancy. I love how hidden this spot is. You surely could miss it when visiting the bar it is located in. One of the reasons why I love visiting speakeasy bars.

A very cool Japanese style whiskey bar / speakeasy located in the back of Seven Grand bar. Very relaxed atmosphere its a little calm from the chaos that Seven Grand bar can be sometimes. It's a tiny spot that caps parties to about 4 to 6 max i believe. If you're coming in on a weekend you may want to get a reservation it. Inside you can order either flight pours (2/3 of an ounce) or full 2 oz pours. Check their menu, their collection changes. They have lots of unique whiskey options from Bourbon, Scotch and Japanese and there may be other exotic options as well just ask. Some of hte pours are quite dear, but those are in genereally incredibly hard to find whiskeys. BUt fear not you can have a very good night and taste very good whiskeys without blowing your budget if you try the fllight pours. They also have an amazing Suntory highball machine that serves out some extremely carbonated soda water for your highball (highly recommended!). Every host I've had there has been great. I've probably seen Peter the most and he's amazing! Awesome place to take out of town guests for something unique.

I had the opportunity to enter into Bar Jackalope and had a pleasant experience. We visited new years even before the craziness started. We got seating on the outside patio. They have endless options of whiskey. They give you a book with a list of whiskeys to go through. The gentleman that was tending to us was personable. For a whiskey love it's a must try at least once.

A very subtle place, a whiskey bar that you wouldn't expect to be in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. It was quite the escape, as the calming music in a snug space gave the energy for tasting different kinds of whiskey. The service was simply incredible, as each drink was presented with the history that made the drink. The prices were unmatched, as you can find anything you'd like to have, varying the age, quality, and taste preference, all at a price that matches the drink. There isn't a drink I wouldn't recommend and this speakeasy serves as a place where I would take a friend or two enjoy a few drinks and discourse.
